Leadership
VOICE is governed by a team of 100+ leaders from the member institutions that discuss, ratify and implement all VOICE’s major campaigns and actions. There are usually four to six Action Team Meetings a year.
Serving as VOICE’s Board of Directors, clergy and lay leaders from our member organizations are elected to serve three-year terms. The Board of Directors further develops decisions made by the Action Team and sets the strategic direction for the organization. For 2026, the Strategy Team consists of:
- Rev. Mandy North: Manassas Church of the Brethren, PWC
- Rev. Michael Sessoms: Co-Chair: First Baptist Church Manassas, PWC
- Imam Naeem Baig, Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center
- Emily VanDerhoff, Fairfax County Federation of Teachers
- Christian Bentley, St. Joseph's Catholic Church
- Rev. Dr. Etoria Goggins, Trinity Presbyterian (Herndon)
- Shellie McKinney, Moms of Muslims Network
- Jacomina de Regt, Secretary: Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington
- Deshapreca Robinson, Life After Convictions
- Rabbi Jeffrey Saxe, Temple Rodef Shalom
- Khadija Athman, Dar Al Noor Islamic Center
- Rev. Alice Tewell: Clarendon Presbyterian, VOICE Treasurer
- Rev. William Levwood, Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church
Four members of the Board of Directors make up the Executive Committee, which meets often with VOICE staff and represents VOICE formally: The two co-chairs (Rev. Michael Sessoms and Rev. Mandy North), treasurer (Rev. Alice Tewell) and secretary (Jacomina de Regt).
