Youth & Family Behavioral Health Summit & Assembly

This National Suicide Prevention Month, VOICE is gathering over 1,000 community members for a crucial event to address the youth and family behavioral health crisis affecting Health Region 2 (Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax County, Prince William County, Loudoun County). Join us at the Youth & Family Behavioral Health Summit & Assembly to stand with our community, advocate for essential resources, and hold decision-makers accountable for the well-being of our youth.

Key Focus Areas:
At the assembly, we will focus on the following critical issues:
- Building a Youth Crisis Receiving Center: Ensuring our region has a fully operational center to address youth mental health crises.
- Funding a Digital Fentanyl Awareness Campaign: We are going to be asking decision-makers for the necessary resources to educate our youth and communities about the dangers of fentanyl through a robust outreach effort.
- Expanding Narcan Training Availability in Schools: VOICE will be pushing for increased access to life-saving overdose treatments, such as Narcan training, in every middle and high school.
A Community-Driven Effort
VOICE has spent months listening to community members about the pressing need for expanded behavioral health services. With over 15+ community partners and several key officials in attendance, this assembly will provide the education and advocacy needed to address this crisis.
